Pillars of Impact — How My Educational Path Shaped My Strategic Approach
University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB) | Bachelor’s in Communication
At UCSB, I dived deep into the world of communication and media, learning how to connect with people across cultures and platforms. My experiences here sharpened my strategic thinking, research skills, and leadership ability.
Research Assistant, UCSB Communication Department:
Worked on the “Thrive Study”, researching the power of virtual reality in helping people stay connected, particularly those dealing with Alzheimer's and Mild Cognitive Impairment. This research fine-tuned my ability to lead projects and analyze data to drive meaningful results.
MiraCosta Community College (MCC) | AA in Communication and AA in Liberal Arts with an emphasis in Social and Behavioral Sciences.
Before transferring to UCSB, I earned Associate’s degrees in Communication and Liberal Arts with an emphasis on Social and Behavioral Sciences from MiraCosta College. During this time, I served as Vice President of the MiraCosta 1st Generation Society, where I led initiatives to empower first-generation students, helping them navigate their academic paths and build a supportive community. I was also an active board member and part of the Publicity/Social Team for M.E.C.h.A., an organization dedicated to civil rights and social action. In this role, I collaborated with like-minded individuals to create impactful campaigns, using social media and public outreach to amplify our message and advocate for social change.
These experiences have refined my strategic leadership, blending project management, digital marketing, and creative problem-solving. With a focus on human capital, I’m committed to delivering transformative solutions that empower teams and drive meaningful success.
Extra | Study Abroad Experience: Florence, Italy
As part of a project for my fashion and media class, I created a mock marketing campaign for Santa Maria Novella, a prestigious perfume brand based in Florence, Italy. Feel free to explore the presentation through the link below!
